ABOUT worldSALON -
Opened in 1989 by Brian Phillips, worldSALON is located in the historically designated William Rennie
building across from St. James Park in Toronto. For twenty years, this award-winning beauty hot spot has
been heralded as one of Canada’s top salons, frequented by the cognoscenti of the business, film and
television communities.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
worldSALON is the first and only salon in Canada to use solar thermal technology to heat its water. Hot
water at worldSALON is heated by three solar panels installed on the salon’s roof. The panels displace
approximately 2000 tons of CO2 emissions each year.

In 2007, Brian received a Certificate of Achievement from the Ontario Power Authority for reducing
worldSALON’s energy consumption by more than 50 per cent over a span of seven years.
worldSALON has made environmental practices fundamental to its operation. A member of both the
Windshare Cooperative (co-owners of the Exhibition Place Wind Turbine with Toronto Hydro Energy
Services) and the Toronto Environmental Alliance, Brian has received recognition for his leading-edge
conservation efforts.

About the worldPRODUCTS line

worldPRODUCTS is a unique, stripped-down luxury, plant-based hair and skin care line that cleanses
and moisturizes skin and hair together. Proving that you can simplify glamour, worldPRODUCTS were designed to be used interchangeably on both skin and hair, minimizing the number of products necessary for everyday hair and skin care while reducing the number of non-biodegradable plastic bottles needed for multiple beauty products.

The worldPRODUCTS line contains no parabens, phthalates, fragrance, sodium lauryl sulphate or artificial colour. Packaging is also 100 per cent recyclable, and bottles can be refilled at worldSALON for a fraction
of the original cost.
