Fair World Sports

Fair World Sports is a project of volunteer members of the Ottawa Y Service Club, to raise funds for youth and peacebuilding projects, especially in Sierra Leone, and to increase awareness of Fair Trade as a vehicle for combatting poverty and child labour. Fair Trade certified sports balls are manufactured by Talon Sports in Pakistan one of only four companies who have committed to not use children in their ball stitching and to ensure safe working conditions, adequate wages and other conditions required by the certifying body, the Fairtrade Labelling Organization. In Canada we are certified by Transfair Canada.
The sports balls include seven types of outdoor soccer balls, indoor soccer balls, futsal balls, volleyballs, beach volleyballs, rugby balls and basketballs. We sell to individuals, sports leagues, Fair Trade vendors and non profit community groups who wish to sell the balls for raising funds for their projects.

We are based in Ottawa and can usually fill orders within 48 hours. Within Canada we use Canada Post and in Ontario may ship larger orders by bus.
