Wane Edge Maple Salad Bowl

Story
Our wane edge Canadian red maple salad bowl is a result of a log being left on the ground for six months to a year to colour and spault. After this time the bark on the log is loose, easily peeling away from the trunk. After being hand-turned the finished salad bowl is similar to our bark edge salad bowls but with a visually cleaner and more refined rim. This style of piece is popular with people who appreciate the natural free-form shape of the bark bowls but desire the more functionally durable edge of the wane edged vessel.
